Building off of the phenomenal success of the PHT tools series, Polychem has introduced a battery powered hand tool. The BET plastic strapping tool tensions, friction seals, and cuts the plastic strapping by using only one hand. With a battery as a power source, the tool is portable and relatively light weight making it extremely desirable for many applications. The BET tool comes in two models and works well with both polyester and polypropylene strapping.

Polychem offers ORGAPACK® manual combination tools that utilize magazine metal seals for faster and more efficient plastic strap closure. The CM – 60 pulls up to 270lbs of tension, while the more heavy duty CM- 61 can pull up to 400 lbs. of tension. Polychem’s PHT – pneumatic powered hand tools, are the state of the art technology. Plastic strapping is tensioned, friction sealed, and cut by using only one hand. The PHT comes in three models and works well with both polyester and polypropylene plastic strapping.

To increase the ease of operation and reduce fatigue, tool counterbalances suspend strapping tools and greatly reduce the felt weight of the tool during operation. Many power strapping tools such as Polychem’s PHT series already come complete with suspension brackets for ready attachment to counterbalances.

A filter regulator is required for all pneumatic functions on strapping machines such as presses and conditioners. Filter regulators are included on strapping machines ordered with standard or optional pneumatic functions. The filter regulator provides the proper clean air pressure needed to operate equipment pneumatics.

A filter regulator lubricator is required for the proper operation of pneumatic hand strapping tools. A FRL will provide the correct clean air pressure and lubrication needed for the operation of the tool. FRL’s are not included in the sale of pneumatic strapping tools and must be purchased separately.

Polychem’s plastic tensioners provide the simplest method for tightening plastic strapping around a load or package. Starting with the TH-HP hand pull tensioner as our most basic manual device we also offer the most popular windlass and combination manual plastic strapping tensioners.

Manual plastic strapping sealers are used to crimp metal seals to positively join tensioned plastic strapping ends together. Polychem offers several sizes of sealers that properly fit the plastic strapping’s width for a positive seal.

Polychem’s plastic strap dispenser is excellent for low volume portable strapping.The DS-100 plastic strapping dispenser is adjustable to accept 8” and 16” diameter cores and 3”, 6”, and 8” faced coils. A handy tray stores seals and tools.

Polychem offers a wide assortment of plastic strap closures. The type of closure is influenced by the load or package characteristics. Low volume, low tension, light weight packages may be best joined with plastic or steel buckles that require no tools. Low volume, medium tension, heavier loads may best be tensioned and sealed with manual tensioners and metal seals. The heaviest loads may require manual combination tools, polyester strapping and metal textured seals.

For increased protection of pallet loads use Polychem corner protectors and edgeboard. They provide a dual function, first by not allowing the strap to cut into the package and they also help to square and stabilize the load.
